OPAQUE WEIGHT TRAY TABLE
Sangwoo Son transforms fog from fleeting atmospheric phenomena into enduring design language. Working from his Seoul studio, he captures the essence of social connection through furniture that embodies the gradual clearing of uncertainty between people.
His meticulous process involves hand-dyeing Hanji papers to achieve subtle atmospheric gradients, then suspending them within carefully built resin layers. Working with daily pours that never exceed 10mm, Sangwoo builds depth over weeks, allowing each piece to develop its own character through the patient accumulation of translucent layers.

Fog settles into geometric dreams, where morning mist becomes furniture and uncertainty transforms into invitation. White whispers through blue depths, twenty-eight centimeters of suspended atmosphere where tea ceremonies unfold like clearing skies.
This intimate tray table emerges from Sangwoo’s patient process of suspending hand-dyed Hanji paper within carefully built resin layers. Available in both white and blue variations, each piece develops over weeks through daily pours, creating depths that shift with light and perspective, designed to facilitate the very human connections that inspired his exploration of fog as both material and metaphor.
