Sangwoo Son transforms fog from fleeting atmospheric phenomena into enduring design language. Working from his Seoul studio, he captures the essence of social connection through furniture that embodies the gradual clearing of uncertainty between people.
His meticulous process involves hand-dyeing Hanji papers to achieve subtle atmospheric gradients, then suspending them within carefully built resin layers. Working with daily pours that never exceed 10mm, Sangwoo builds depth over weeks, allowing each piece to develop its own character through the patient accumulation of translucent layers.

A single breath suspended in time, where ten centimeters hold infinite possibility. Blue whispers through white silence, creating space for solitary stems to emerge from captured atmosphere like hope breaking through morning mist.
This intimate vessel represents the essence of Sangwoo’s practice—traditional Korean Hanji paper suspended within contemporary resin and paired with a glass tube.
